“A great addition to Brighton” – Brighton’s first outpost of the Dishoom empire is also the first in the group to have its own name, a reference to the first legal drinking dens in 60s and 70s Bombay. It’s “a great spin on the Dishoom concept” – all the Dishoom classics are on the menu along with some new snacks, curries and cocktails, and it’s “reasonably priced” like its siblings. Interestingly, though, it’s less stratospherically well-rated than its metropolitan peers – it’s not clear whether Brighton types are more blasé than their London cousins or that it’s perceived as being slightly less awesome. Top Menu Tip – “for breakfast the chai with bun maska is amazing, as are the naan rolls and marmalade mimosas”.
