Harden's survey result
Summary
This rural pub (complete with beams and roaring fire, and also accommodation) in a lovely Buckinghamshire village still achieves solid ratings, and – notwithstanding gripes from the occasional reporter about its takeover by Oakman Inns in late 2019 – most feedback rates the food as “very good”.
Summary
With its oak beams, rustic décor and roaring fire, this rural pub with rooms – pub up front, dining room in a converted 19th century barn to the rear – has proved an asset to this lovely Bucks village. In September 2019, though, it closed for a major revamp until we receive feedback on the new set-up we’ve removed ratings for the time being.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
