Harden's says
Scottish fine dining in a restaurant that overlooks the Mouth O’ The Tay.
Harden's survey result
Summary
“Well worth seeking out” – chef-proprietor Adam Newth is behind this “very neat and engaging tiny restaurant, with light tweeds, heather colours and driftwood” for decor, and where the classically oriented cooking is “exciting” (with “excellent seafood” a part of it). Sit upstairs for “the most enchanting view from a huge picture window out onto the beaches and pine forests of this corner of eastern Scotland”.
For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
