Harden's survey result
Summary
‘Deliciously Derbyshire’ is the motto at this Peak District gastropub – feedback is too limited for a rating, but such as we have gives the thumbs-up to high-quality pub grub, which includes a wide variety of sourdough pizzas.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
Have you eaten at The Tickled Trout?
Owner's description
The Tickled Trout pub is proudly independent... owned by Chris Mapp and nestled in the idyllic Derbyshire village of Barlow. Chris couldn't believe his luck when his old local came up for sale, and has worked tirelessly to transform this run-down country drinking hole into a stunning dining pub that the village can feel proud of. Chris and his dedicated team believe in using great ingredients sourced from local suppliers they know and trust... and they believe you'll taste the difference. The Tickled Trout is open to everyone, so whether you want to enjoy a delicious meal or quiet pint, you'll always be welcome in our pub. If we've tickled your fancy, just get in touch to book a table!
