Harden's survey result
Summary
“A shack at the pier head” in Fionnphort at the far end of the Ross of Mull, “selling the freshest seafood” – most of it caught by owner Alex Cameron’s husband, Andrew, and other divers in the sea immediately behind. “We only had a lobster sandwich, but both bread and lobster were good. It’s not a restaurant because there’s only some outside seating – but on a good day, what’s not to like?”.
Summary
“Lovely snacks from this shack, while waiting for the Iona ferry” – ultra-fresh locally caught langoustines, scallops and crabs are served from a tiny wooden hut at the furthest end of the Ross of Mull, from April to September.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
