Harden's survey result
Summary
Consistently inconsistent ratings on the food front were echoed again this year (reports ranging from “quite ordinary” and “pricey” to “very good”), but by common consent the “amazing views” and “plentiful outdoor seating” make this upscale art gallery restaurant “worth the visit”.
Summary
“One of the best views in the world” (if you don't mind Newcastle’s urban sprawl) elevates a visit to this posh art gallery restaurant. It dodged the usual critiques it has often received last year, and although even some fans concede that “there is better-value food to be had in the city”, it was consistently well-rated (“creative without being silly”).
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
