Harden's survey result
Summary
A “great local for all the family” in a pretty village in the Lincolnshire flatlands, where Paul & Lorraine Willoughby look after their guests well in this classic seventeenth-century inn.
Summary
Lord Brownlow’s former seat – a seventeenth-century country inn, in a picturesque Lincolnshire village, where Paul & Lorraine Willoughby win consistently respectable marks for their old-fashioned country hospitality and straightforward British cooking.
Summary
Paul & Lorraine Willoughby’s old stone pub with rooms, north of Grantham near the A1, has been revitalised in recent years in tasteful country house style (linen tablecloths etc). Feedback is more limited than we would like, but all reports rate the experience highly, including the fairly traditional British cooking.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
