For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"I've been a regulat customer since Eleven opened almost 25 years ago. For an independent restaurant to have survived and developed over such a period must say something. It's still run by Jean-Christophe (front of house) and Mella (chef de cuisine) but as they've become more secure the have extra staff in th kitchen to share the load and bring new ideas. The basic formula remains constant - the French bistro we'd all like to have on our doorstep. You can always get some classics - moules frites, a cheese soufflé, bavette, and so on. But the additional options and increasingly splendid sauces have extended the range. A three course lunch (with 5 options in each course) currently costs just over £30. Dinner is a bit dearer and the choices are wider. The short wine list is French and good value - Jean Christophe is a former sommelier. I've been particularly pleased in recent years by the number of my friends who were previously unused to classic Frernch food but who have become converts since going to Eleven. "
