Harden's survey result
Summary
“Fantastic-quality smoked meat” from Elliot Cunningham’s small, to-the-point menu (promising ‘a British-Swedish live-fire fusion’) is served “in a beer-hall-style location” at this heart-of-Hackney brew pub (fka St John at Hackney), which is rated on limited early feedback (all of it very upbeat). It’s set in a railway arch (of course it is!), and with a garden for sunny days.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
