Harden's says
From chef Adam Hardiman (ex-St John and The Dartmouth Arms), a modern British restaurant featuring seasonal produce and traditional dishes.
Harden's survey result
Summary
For a “really satisfying Sunday lunch (all you would wish for: crispy roast potatoes; HUGELY risen Yorkshire; delicious gravy; roast pork that’s typically on every day, plus beef)” – Haggerston hipsters recommend Adam Hardiman’s converted burger bar, with its “lovely service”. On top of Covid, he lost a finger in late August 2021, and soon after launched a crowdfunded appeal to help keep going. As we go to press in early September 2021, the restaurant is still closed.
Summary
In oh-so-now Haggerston, this neighbourhood yearling – from chef Adam Hardiman (ex-St John and The Dartmouth Arms) – opened in November 2018, offering a seasonal, daily-changing menu. It is rated on the limited survey feedback received to date, but all of it is very upbeat, in keeping with newspaper reports and social media buzz about the place.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
