Harden's survey result
Summary
“A great surprise: very interesting food choices and truly helpful staff” – New Malden is known for its large Korean expat community, and this family-run Korean BBQ (relocated in 2023 from its former location) makes a good place to discover the cuisine.
Summary
A new location for an old restaurant: this latest incarnation of a family-run business opened in New Malden – serving the sizable local Korean expat community – in spring 2023. Grace Dent of The Guardian visited in May 2023 and was a fan of its “simple yet delicious” cooking – “Cah Chi isn’t trying to change the world; it’s just quietly representing skilful Korean cooking and creating a haven for hungry passers-by”.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
