“Hidden away in New Malden” – Radhika & Thiru Kamaraj’s “tiny (14 seat) restaurant in a nondescript, small, suburban shopping parade” is a destination of curry pilgrimage for fans of subcontinental cuisine from several postcodes away. It helps that “the owners serving are delightful” in this small but “crisply decorated” room; however, it’s the notably high standard of cooking with “bright, fresh flavours” and all at such “modest prices for a high quality of food” that pulls ’em in. Unlicensed – BYO for small corkage. Top Menu Tips – “excellent pani puris; very good ‘Gobi 65’ (cauliflower) and fine dum chicken and vegetable biryanis”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
