This “great vegan” with branches in Islington, Golders Green and Spitalfields Market “beats the hell out of anything left in Chinatown” with its “interesting Chinese options”, full of “flavour and texture” and “leaning towards Sichuan peppercorns” (it’s from the team behind non-vegan Xi’an Impression). “Go with half-a-dozen friends so you can try plenty of dishes” – “you won’t miss the meat”.

“Wonderfully yummy plant-based food with no compromise on flavour” – “and so much more interesting than the standard Chinese offering” too – has made a big hit of this Islington yearling, whose mix of Sichuan, Cantonese and other influences make it “one of the best places ever!” It’s already on to branch number two, which opened in April 2022 – “a brilliant addition to Golders Green, all vegan and very tasty!”

"Excellent food. Who knew it was vegan? Chinese dishes, presented well and at speed. Cucumber, King O'ster Mushrooms and Wontons recommended. Good advice from waiters on best dishes to choose and how many. Always busy, though, and crowded."
