“Delicious, reasonably priced food” has won over the East Finchley crowd at this four-year-old bistro in what is otherwise a “culinary wasteland”. As a bonus, it’s “very French, and therefore romantic”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"An early in the week lunch outing. A local hidden high street gem. We opted for the three course set lunch. A wonderful bargain. Portion size just right for those who don't want a full plate. It's the presentation and those clever sauces that make it special. I opted for the venison pate followed by the haddock. The ratatouille with the fish made it special. We shared the cheese board and the carafe of house red Burgundy made our lunch complete."
