Harden's survey result
Summary
“For a quick meal before boarding a train at King’s Cross or St Pancras” across the road, this inviting café is worth remembering for “well-prepared” pasta in generous portions provided by “very attentive” staff. In summer 2024, after our annual diners’ poll had closed, top chef Adam Simmons (ex-Ynyshir Hall and Danesfield House) joined as consultant, creating a new menu of ‘reimagined Italian classics’ for Spagnoletti (named after an Anglo-Italian engineer who developed railway signalling in the 19th century).
Summary
“A great little find right opposite King’s Cross”. “The location is not the best” – immediately off a busy pavement and bordering the trafficky Euston Road – but, if you want a good-value refuel before you hop on a train (especially with family in tow), this bright pitstop at the foot of a boutique hotel is trying hard: “service is good and they obviously care”. Made to be shared, each dish is carefully prepared representing Italy in all its glory from the open space kitchen located in the middle of the Restaurant and “the food is very nice”. In case you’ve been wondering, the place is named after the 19th-century Anglo-Italian inventor of the railway signalling system.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Spagnoletti Restaurant Diner Reviews
"A solid restaurant in Kings Cross. Service was friendly from the start. Food was good. Especially enjoyed the octopus which came as a generous portion, and cooked well. Restaurant decor is modern and fun."
"Spagnoletti is a great find for a quick meal before boarding a train at either Kings Cross or St Pancras. Just across from the stations in Euston Road. High quality pasta dishes very well prepared and cooked. Service is very attentive and helpful. This is one of several visits that we have made this year and it is such a clean, well presented and reasonably priced find. Cant recommend enough. "
