For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Bonoo Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Four friends who have eaten in Bonoo a number of times before and were looking forward to good food. The room is welcoming and makes you smile. The welcome was with lovely smiles. Overall the service was excellent. The first dishes, papadum basket, pani puri and bhel were tasty and very good and we were happy and anticipating the other dishes. The railway lamb curry, aloo gobi, rice and naan were all good. The crunchy mango salad was fine. However, the Bengal chicken was poor. The chicken was just not right. Not sure if it was frozen or some other issue. The dahi baingan curry had tasteless aubergine. The aubergine pieces were too small and were soft and mushy. It also had too much butter or ghee. The bhindi curry was also very fatty in taste and that was the only taste in the dish. The dhal mix was very bad. Wrong consistency and may have been reheated many times. We had 4 bottles of beer and one non alcoholic beer. With service it was £80 a couple. The dishes we did not enjoy outweighed the others. I have given 2 stars but some of the food was 5 star and others were 1 stars. In an Indian restaurant they have to get the curries right. A pity because we have enjoyed eating here before."
