Not far from West Hampstead station, this well-established, modern bistro serves “small but delicious portions” of distinctive, “Asian-French fusion cuisine”: no doubt a legacy of chef-owner Jae’s stints working for Nobu and Hélène Darroze at the Connaught. The “limited ambience” may represent a “missed opportunity” for cooking of this style and quality – the vibe is “nice local” rather than “romantic” – but it’s a “hidden gem” worth discovering.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
