Jerk BBQ sauce, passed down through the generations (from great grandmother, Mama Charlotte’s secret recipe) is part of the backstory at this “friendly, local Jamaican place” in Deptford’s Market Yard, serving ‘new-style Caribbean street food’. (There are other stalls, in Pop Brixton and Canary Wharf, but this is the one generating most feedback). “Jerk chicken is the main attraction (but ‘biriyardi’ and plantain are well worth a go, too).”
