Summary
This smart and fashionable (sometimes “extremely loud”) Belgravia gastropub is the original flagship of the upmarket Cubitt House group and named after the Georgian developer who built the area. Given the address, no surprise that its posh gastropub menu – which stretches to oysters, plus steak and chops – can seem “expensive” for what it is.
Summary
“Consistent over many years”, this smart (and “not particularly cheap”) Belgravia gastropub is named after the master-builder who developed the area in the Georgian era, and is the flagship of the ambitious Cubitt House group, which has hired chef-director Ben Tish (ex-Salt Yard, The Stafford and Norma) and food journalist/hospitality expert Joe Warwick to bolster its standards.

This “posh and busy pub with a lovely buzz throughout” was named after the master builder who developed surrounding Belgravia in the Georgian era. It’s “fab for people-watching” in smart Elizabeth Street, while “the food is good without wowing”.
Summary
This “comfortable and attractive pub” on a prime corner of Belgravia’s smart Elizabeth Street is a “pleasant place for lunch, with good pub food”. If you want something “more formal”, the upstairs restaurant fits the bill.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
