Harden's survey result
Summary
An “ambitious newcomer” in Barnes, where veteran hospitality operator Christian Arden has transformed a former pub (fka The Tree House) to the tune of £400k, with chef Anthony Demetre (of Arbutus and Wild Honey) consulting on the menu. “The food is really good, fully deserving of its recent rave review in the Telegraph from William Sitwell!”
Summary
After a significant refurb (about £400k), this sweet pub on White Hart Lane – fka The Tree House – has been relaunched by hospitality operator Christian Arden. There’s a new outside terrace (complete with its own pizza oven), while the food offering includes a charcuterie selection and a number of mains from the flame-fired bespoke rotisserie grill in the garden.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
