“Vegan food that’s as good as can be” – from a selection of broadly Asian choices – inspires devotees of this ‘vegan soul food’ venture in Earlsfield (now with a spin-off in Honor Oak Park) from school friends Arvin Suntaramoorphy and Shyam Kotecha. “Being able to ask for additional dishes until satisfied means you never leave disappointed”. Guests are invited to BYO without charge, and to reduce the bill if they believe it is too high – while the truly hard-up can eat for free in return for a couple of hours’ work.

“Carefully prepared Indian-style vegan dishes” and “wonderfully friendly service” are behind the popularity of old school friends Arvin Suntaramoophy & Shyam Kotecha’s Earlsfield crowd-pleaser. And the “as-much-as-you-can-eat ethos” and BYOB policy means it is “incredibly well-priced”. Top Tip – if you’re really hard up, they’ll feed you in return for a couple of hours’ work.

“The atmosphere is basic (it’s not a date place) but there’s a reason devoted fans keep going back” to Arvin Suntaramoophy and Shyam Kotecha’s ‘little vegan soul-food lounge’ in Earlsfield: “delicious curries and fantastic, charming service make for a great meal out with friends or family”.

“Deservedly loved” – this “friendly, little ‘vegan soul food’” yearling in Earlsfield serves “delicious”, meat-free dishes, created by Arvin Suntaramoophy and Shyam Kotecha. It’s a total bargain too – not only can you BYO (no corkage) but you pay as much as, or little as you feel the meal is worth. You may have to queue: not only do the locals love it, but it regularly features as #1 in TripAdvisor’s London rankings.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
