Harden's says

Following on from the success of their first opening – The Hunter's Moon – this second venture from the Lunar Pub Company occupies the characterful premises that old-timers may recall as the Ebury Street Wine Bar & Restaurant.

This “consistently reliable” venture (part of the small Lunar Pub Company group) took over the site of Belgravia’s long-serving Ebury Wine Bar (long RIP) in 2021. The website terms it a ‘Bar & Dining Room’ and neither the brasserie-style menu nor the stylish contemporary decor are particularly pub-like. In any case, it works equally well “for a family get-together or business”. Top Menu Tip – “it stands out for its pithiviers and its cocktails”.

“More gastro French than pub, but delicious” – the successor to much-missed Belgravia institution the Ebury Street Wine Bar (long RIP) has got off to a strong start, helped by a “very high standard of food and service” from “welcoming, friendly and courteous staff”.

“A surprisingly good replacement for the much loved Ebury St Wine Bar” (long RIP) – this new Belgravia venture “is a great find in an area devoid of good restaurants”. Daniel Mertl is acclaimed as “a talented chef” producing a “superior” brasserie menu that’s “all from the very top of the drawer”.

This posh gastropub from the Lunar Pub Company opened post-pandemic in September 2021. Sibling to South Kensington’s Hunter’s Moon, it incorporates a 30-cover bar and 46-cover dining room, and inhabits the Belgravia site that was for yonks The Ebury Wine Bar.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
