Summary
“A great option near Victoria” – this indie venue in the stylish Eccleston Yards project provides a comfy spot for its Josper-grilled steaks, other grills from ‘sea, land and field’ and fish tartares. It’s “relatively simple fare” but well-realised from a wide variety of menus, including Sunday roasts. And the venue “makes a virtue of its converted warehouse space” with “very friendly” service that helps it win votes both for business and as a good spot to spend “a lovely lazy afternoon”. Top Tip – wonderful outside dining in summer.
Summary
“Superb with meat, especially the steaks: simply the most perfectly grilled ever…” – the Jones Family (formerly in Shoreditch) are making a good go of this steakhouse “oasis in busy Victoria” – a “fabulous, bright space with great art” (part of the stylish new Eccleston Yards project), where service “is delivered with a smile”. “The ambience of its outdoor courtyard is very pleasant in summer” too.
Summary
“Superb steak from the Josper grill, a brilliant wine list and a gorgeous, secluded terrace” make this successor to Shoreditch’s Jones Family Project – part of the stylish-looking Eccleston Yards courtyard development – “an oasis of calm, and a great place for a meal out, in bustling Victoria”.
Summary
“The best beef in the area (Belgravia/Pimlico)... nuff said” – this “shiny”, year-old sibling to Shoreditch’s Jones Family Project is part of the “beautiful” Eccleston Yards courtyard development: “a fantastic addition to SW1” that doesn’t feel at all like somewhere around the corner from Victoria Coach Station. As well as steak, it features a fairly broad selection of modern British brasserie fare (including plenty of fish), much of it from the Josper charcoal oven; plus a decent list of cocktails and wine. Top Tip – for coeliacs there’s a dedicated gluten-free menu.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
