“Get a pitta the action!” say fans of these “fast, fun, loud and daft” outlets in Soho and now also Notting Hill – part of Eyal Shani’s international chain, based out of Tel Aviv. Flatbreads filled with falafel, burgers, English breakfast – you name it – exemplify the “playful” Middle Eastern menu, which everyone agrees is a “great concept” (“different and certainly worth experiencing for its unique take on pitta fillings”). But dishes that are “well-priced, fresh and tasty” in most accounts can – to a few critics – seem “bland and sloppily served”. Top Menu Tip – “outstanding roasted cauliflower”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
