Harden's survey result
Summary
This “lovely local pub with decent food” behind Olympia has been a significant presence on the West London gastropub scene for almost 30 years, with its distinctive blue-tiled facade and elevated menu. Long-time regulars feel “it’s not like it was in the old days” (when folks flocked from miles around), but they still feel it’s “good all round”.
Summary
“Popular in the neighbourhood and very easy to recommend” – this blue-tiled Victorian tavern behind Olympia excels for “good, slightly pimped gastropub fare”. Launched as a more foodie operation in 1996, it still draws fans from across west London and beyond.
Summary
“What a great pub!” – this classic blue-tiled late-Victorian tavern in an Olympia backstreet has been well-known for its “excellent food” for 25 years. “Back with a vengeance after lockdown 2” it “retains its high standards”.
Summary
“Top local gastropub” in an Olympia backstreet that’s “better run” nowadays than during its original heyday, and after more than 20 years still “always delivers” a “well thought-out menu”; and can be surprisingly “buzzing and hectic” for such a tranquil location.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

The Havelock Tavern Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Really awful food, I will not be going back, ever. starter burrata. - fresh but the dish had no flavour Main sole was really overcooked and greasy withe butter. Reminiscent of the dreadful British cuisine of the 1960s pudding - treacle tart eas not treacle tart but an apple tart. It had no taste of treacle. I asked everyone at the table to try it and they all thought it was apple tart. the alcoholic plum compot had no flavour - i sent it back as mis-sold atmosphere was bleak. service was ok- just a pity the food they brought out was very poor. there were hardens stickers for the past 3 years on the door. usually this betokens good food - in this case they trashed tour brand image.
