“Wonderful salt beef sandwiches” and “other options in a bun” plus “great latkes and Reubens” justify a trip to this Soho pitstop (cousins to Pinner and Edgware’s B&K Salt Beef Bars and with spin-offs in Goodge Street and Holborn). “You can eat in, but facilities are basic (or take away and find a bench). It’s a great option when you are hungry but want to avoid the high-cost options in this area”.

For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
