Harden's says

The latest offering from the Big Mamma group (Gloria, Circolo Popolare, etc) is this oddly-named four-floor behemoth on Ken High Street, with a Sicilian-styled mezzanine with retractable roof and glitter-ball disco toilets. We'd expect nothing less.

“A stunning space that’s great for a fun night out” – Big Mamma group’s “exotic” Kensington mega-trattoria is “definitely a place to impress” (especially if you are relatively young-at-heart). With four floors, 4,000 sq ft and 170 seats, it would be amazing if its pizza, pasta and other Italian fare was totally consistent, but the poor reports from last year have subsided and it received a much better rep this year.

“A fun place for the Insta crowd…”“the setting is absolute bling (but enjoyable for that)” at this mammoth Kensington newcomer from the Big Mamma group (Gloria, Circolo Popolare, etc), complete with a Sicilian-styled mezzanine with retractable roof and glitter-ball disco toilet. But too often it’s “all about the vibe and location” – the humongous portions of Italian fare can be tolerable, but strike unlucky and “OMG the food is bad”; and service “needs focus” not “annoying loud Italian-style showmanship”. Top Menu Tip – “the pizza is pretty decent”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
