“Slightly frenetic, great fun, always packed and rightly so” – this “kick-ass” two-year-old from chef Luke Farrell (the flagship of JKS Restaurants’ Arcade Food Hall in Centrepoint) is for fans “the one and only Thai in London”, whose “elevated street food” “takes you back to Thailand” and whose “hot and cramped atmosphere fits the vibe”.

“Not a place to linger” – this “busy, basic and noisy” canteen from JKS Restaurants is a highlight of the Arcade Food Hall (see also) at Centrepoint. “Styled as street food” – it’s “several notches above a typical Thai offering” and bangs out dishes that aficionados claim “are reminiscent of actually eating in the lesser-known corners of Thailand” (some of them “rip-your-face-off” spicy). Top Menu Tip – “sea bass in chilli and holy basil is just epic”.

This mid-2022 newcomer is the flagship offering at JKS Restaurants’ new Arcade Food Hall (see also) at Tottenham Court Road. It opened too late to general feedback in our annual diners’ poll, but an early-doors report said its “very authentic impressive Thai food makes it a must-try”, while The Evening Standard’s Jimi Famurewa raved: it serves “food to quicken the pulse, dampen the brow and leave you gasping for more!”

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
