Harden's survey result
Summary
“Portuguese cooking at its addictive best” has delivered “yet another hit for Nuno Mendes” (in partnership with MJMK Restaurants) at this “really enjoyable” three-floor yearling in Fitzrovia, where “distinctive”, “top-quality” dishes are “made from the best produce”; (“it already feels like a fixture on the dining scene – the sort of place you want to go to again and again, and to tell people about”). Fans also celebrate the “cool vibes” of its “buzzy (if slightly boomy)” café-style setting, although the interior can also seem “cramped” and not everyone’s wild about the music (“I complained to Nuno, but he likes it loud!”). Success has also brought concern about “hype”, or that “some prices risk becoming a joke” – “it tasted good, but the price stuck in the throat”. Top Menu Tip – “love the pork fat dessert”.
Summary
“Nuno Mendes, London’s most creative and friendly chef is back!” – partnering with MJMK Restaurants (who run Casa do Frango and Kol) – at this three-floor Fitzrovian in the thick of Charlotte Street, which “is set up for quick counter dining on the ground floor or longer meals upstairs”. As usual, “his take on Portuguese food is outstanding”, delivering “distinctive and gutsy flavours” with “flair”. “The bill soon adds up”, though, to the extent that one or two reporters find it “expensive and hyped”. But the main complaint? – “the upstairs room can be painfully noisy”. Top Menu Tip – ‘abade de priscos’ – the ’signature’ custard pie pudding incorporating bacon.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Lisboeta Restaurant Diner Reviews
"Lovely setting with an open kitchen you pass to go upstairs where the dining area is. Classic Portuguese flavours, expertly cooked and very comforting food. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The ambience is lively and the space a little noisy at times. A great place to eat with family and friends "
