Harden's survey result
Summary
“The hype is all true!” – “The most extraordinary selection of stunningly presented South African-influenced dishes” inspires a huge thumbs-up for Jean Delport’s cuisine at this “memorable” destination. It is set in “staggering grounds, too” – “sitting in the lovely Leonardslee Gardens, just outside Horsham”.
Summary
On the 240 acre estate of Grade I listed Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens (incorporating a vineyard), this two-year-old venture has yet to generate sufficient feedback for a rating. But its 14-course and 19-course menus from South African chef Jean Delport – using produce from the estate – have immediately caught the attention of the tyre men, who awarded it a Michelin star in October 2019.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
