Harden's says

Pop-up food hall that opened to the public in November 2019; the building itself dates back to 1911, and was once a cinema (hence the name). This is the third venture from the same owners of Mackie Mayor in Manchester and Altrincham Market, and has seven food outlets and two outside bars.

“The best thing to hit Macclesfield since the silk industry died”“a sister to Altrincham Market (and Manchester's Mackie Mayor), conceived and run by Nick Johnson and his wife. This Edwardian building was the first cinema in town, fell to other unglamorous uses some 70 years ago, and has now been sympathetically restored to house excellent individual food stalls serving a range of high quality dishes: the freshest of fish, steaks, pasta, pizzas, mussels and more”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
