Harden's survey result
Summary
With its thoughtful cocktail and drinks menu and interesting modern European menu, this two-year-old bar/restaurant in the city centre isn’t trying too hard but is worthy of attention. It has yet to inspire much in the way of feedback in our annual diners’ poll, but Jay Rayner found “a lot to be stimulated by” in his March 2023 review: “somewhere along the way Manchester was culinarily twinned with Hackney… modern trends have been attended to… but there’s also a wonderful old-school sensibility at work” and even “a couple of flourishes” like “a version of Fergus Henderson’s hot, wobbly roasted bone marrow with salty, vinegary parsley salad”. Reports please!
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
