Harden's survey result
Summary
Inspired by bold Middle Eastern flavours via Le Marais district in Paris, this yearling is “a great place to visit” thanks to its intriguing menu selection and “relaxed and friendly service”. Founders James Bates, Tom White and Dom Jones launched the concept in Liverpool before heading across to Manchester.
Summary
In summer 2022, this successful Liverpool mini-group opened its largest restaurant to-date… in Manchester. James Bates, Tom White and Dom Jones were inspired by Le Marais district of Paris to start in business and the menu here as back in the Pool is full of Middle Eastern influences. They also serve an eastern Med’-inspired Sunday Lunch.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
