Harden's says
Tom Kerridge opened this restaurant in Manchester's former Stock Exchange, refurbished into a luxury hotel, in November 2019. It features Kerridge’s famed style of cooking, where British classics are refined, yet in a casual sort of fashion. Chef Dan Scott will be at the stoves.
Harden's survey result
Summary
This “beautiful building” – Manchester’s gracious Edwardian Stock Exchange – was relaunched as a five-star hotel in late 2019, making the most of the plush and traditional surroundings. In the “fantastic surroundings” of the old trading floor – complete with domed ceiling and large booths – a Tom Kerridge-branded restaurant serves a posh brasserie menu. One gripe, though: the ambience can feel “spoilt by oversized screens showing the footie!”.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
