Harden's survey result
Summary
A “reliable” neighbourhood restaurant and wine bar from Loire Valley native Cédric Boc-Ho and Northumberland-born wife Catherine which is set under the old railway arches near Newcastle Central station. Its “very sound” French brasserie food (“tapas-style” in part, though there is also a well-priced ‘formule du midi’) makes it “ideal for lunch”, but the cosy all-rounder is “also a good evening spot” too.
For 34 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
