Harden's says
Contemporary neighbourhood restaurant in Summertown, the successor to executive chef Paul Welburn's The Oxford Kitchen.
Harden's survey result
Summary
“Not to be missed”, Paul Welburn's “chic and casual” but accomplished Summertown successor to the acclaimed Oxford Kitchen makes a “great place for a special meal”. The menu is pointedly more democratic than the original, though you'll still find a “first-rate” tasting menu amongst the offering (“I can still taste the apple dashi nine months later”).
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
