For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Owner's description
The New Street Bar & Grill opened in May 2018 in the market town of Petworth at the heart of the South Downs National Park. The fresh and modern interior encourages relaxed dining thoughout the week as well being a fantastic venue for parties and special occassions.
The focus is on good quality ingredients cooked simply and well. The grill is the main feature with Goodwood organic beef, fish and seafood being some of the highlights. A wide selection of starters and the classic dessert menu offer a broad choice. Baked Alaska is already a favourite with guests.
Sunday lunch is a relaxed affair. The roast option changes weekly and with 3 days notice you can order a roasting joint to share at the table including whole chicken and leg of lamb.
As well as dining the ground floor features a stylish bar area serving a selection of bar snacks such as charcuterie boards, smoked fish platter and baked camembert to share. A selection of wines and champagnes by the glass are offered alongside a cocktail list (including an interesting choice of non alcoholic versions for designated drivers) and an intersting array of spirits. Local craft beer is available on tap.
