“A wine bar with amazing character and great food” – Zoe Brodie & Fitz Spencer’s wine shop/deli overlooking Sutton Harbour offers some “fantastic small plates and sharing boards” – including ‘Fitzy’s Fat Boy Board’, which comprises pretty well the whole menu for £130.

“On a summer’s day, there isn’t a better place to sip vino!” than this wine shop/deli, which has an excellent setting with views over Sutton Harbour. There’s a selection of generous (not inexpensive) sharing platters, cheeses, and nibbles. The best bets are the Honkytonk Creole Dishes (say spatchcock chicken with fries and slaw for £25).

“What an amazing place!” – a hybrid 250-bottle wine shop/deli where you can nibble on “sharing plates to die for” while relaxing in a “wonderful setting with views over Sutton Harbour, surrounded by wines”. There’s not much of a library hush, though, with a calendar of events including music and comedy nights.

A hybrid wine and casual eating hangout where you sup on sharing plates while enjoying the “epic views over Sutton Harbour”. They have over 250 bottles in stock and the “wines of the week are amazing bargains, discounted when eating”. Watch out for regular specialist wine tasting nights, Sunday jazz events and more.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"Our third visit in as many years. Still a wine bar with amazing character and great food. We had a Moroccan lunch dish this time as we did not have room for one of their amazing sharing platters "
