Whether you sit downstairs amongst the hustle and bustle of the café, to forget yourself in the grandeur of the Boardroom or relive a past holiday in the garden, Café Nucleus Rochester is the perfect location whatever the weather. There really isn't anything else in town like Café Nucleus!

A coffee isn’t just a coffee… At Café Nucleus it’s an experience! From field, boat, herd or flock we at Café Nucleus work with our suppliers and our supply chain to ensure we deliver the very best produce from traceable origins. Working with local suppliers we source some fantastic products from Luscombe Organic drinks in rural Devon to Kentish milk from Hinxden Farm Dairy.
Evening dining in Rochester's grandest dining rooms (in our humble opnion)  the boardroom is a must!  Every Friday & Saturday evening the crispy white linen sets the scene, an intimate exclusive setting, with only 7 tables enjoy an evening of dining in a setting unrivalled.

Every Friday & Saturday evening our head chef, Stuart Tyler creates an exciting menu using the very best in-season Kentish produce. We work directly with small farms and suppliers to deliver the very best in-season Kentish and beyond produce. We are proud to source our steak from Hole Park Farm, Tenterden. Every single ingredient is carefully carted to create a truly exciting dining experience, with plenty of classical dishes to choose from.

Our Prix Fixe menu changes every 6 weeks, allowing our kitchen to work with the finest in season produce, offering a true taste of Ken throughout the harvests.

Not enough people have commented yet

Our reviews are based on an annual survey of ordinary diners which runs in Spring each year. But this establishment has not yet gathered enough feedback for our editors to write it up.

Do you think it deserves to be better known?

Write a quick review now using our restaurant diary service. That way it might catch our attention. Next survey, you can transfer your diary entry into our survey system. Everyone who contributes 5 or more reviews in our survey will qualify for a free guide.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).
