Harden's survey result
Summary
In the heart of the town, this traditional Italian stalwart (est. 1978) comprises a small dining room, with glass atrium. It doesn’t generate a huge volume of feedback, but such as there is continues to praise its good cooking (fish in particular) and inviting style.
Summary
Established in 1978, this traditional Italian inhabits a 500-year-old building, incorporating ‘Il Cortile’, the courtyard and ‘La Saletta’, a small dining room, with glass atrium and (on the basis of quite limited feedback) is tipped for romance.
Summary
Traditional, well-established Italian (est. 1978) which occupies an ancient building in the heart of St Peter Port, and which has many staff who have been around for years. Feedback was more limited last year, but remains positive.
For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

Owner's description
St Peter Port has many restaurants, but few have become a byword for consistency, quality and service.
Da Nello has achieved this status by combining all these attributes and then continually striving to improve on an already impressive record.
Located in the heart of St Peter Port, Guernsey, the restaurant is housed in a 500 year old building, which has been extensively renovated and extended to create the modern, yet cosy venue, it is today. A great feature of Da Nello's dining space is Il Cortile, the courtyard and La Saletta, the small dining room, with its glass atrium, creates a unique al fresco feel, while affording comfortable ambient surroundings in which to enjoy a relaxed meal with business associates, family and frencds.
Da Nello first opened its doors in 1978, founded by then owner Nello Ciotti, who was joined by head chef Tim Vidamour 1979. Over the years the restaurant built up an unrivalled reputation and is now run by the three business partners Tim Vidamour, Head Chef, Manuel Teixeira and Rivelino Rodrigues.
