"Yesterday was the first time I'd visited The Chestnut Horse in many years and was well worth the wait. The property has been completed refurbished with the addition of an artisan cafe and village shop so the price can be flexible to your purse. On this occasion we chose the lunchtime menu £16 for a set 2-course meal - delicious! The choices were spiced pumpkin soup or pork terrain with piccalilli for starter and wild mushroom gnocchi or chicken schnitzel with mash and perfectly cooked stemmed broccoli, so we had both to compare, contrast and share. Perfect hospitality, lovely atmosphere where the background music wasn't to invasive. We loved so much that we're going to book up for Christmas. Enjoy."
