“A gem in sleepy old Ferring”, serving “great, good-value tapas” in a “delightfully unrushed” atmosphere – this “lovely” spot was founded in 1986 by Granada-born Manuel Quirosa and his wife Sue. They retired five years ago, passing the business on to sons Luis, the head chef, and Miguel, whose “much-needed revamp has turned it into a trendy local restaurant”.

For 33 years we've been curating reviews of the UK's most notable restaurant. In a typical year, diners submit over 50,000 reviews to create the most authoritative restaurant guide in the UK. Each year, the guide is re-written from scratch based on this survey (although for the 2021 edition, reviews are little changed from 2020 as no survey could run for that year).

"This tapas restaurant worked very well for a deep family discussion, 4 of us - plate sharing and enjoying the variety of tapas to suit all tastes, vegetarian, and meat-eating. Deserves to do well. A bit special."
