“For a large chain, they still do pretty much unbeatable Mexican fusion fare”, say fans of these “busy and atmospheric” street-food cafés, now with 11 London branches and three others around the UK. That said, there are also some niggles in feedback; and the sentiment is widespread that – though “still enjoyable” – the food can seem “a little mass-produced”. On the way into Leith from the city centre, this funky cantina was launched in 2023 as part of a hot sauce-making company (in a building saved by local campaigning). No survey feedback as yet, but numerous press and online reviewers have the serious hots for the place and its made-to-order, hand-pressed tacos. You can try all the sauces and buy them on your way out. For a hip cheap eat, perhaps brunch, it looks just the ticket.
