“Looking out the window onto the boats that brought in the spoils of the sea that have been expertly cooked and placed in front of you, it really doesn’t get better or fresher” – so say fans of Michael & Laurence Smith’s “seafood haven”: an 18-seat converted front room in a row of cottages at the north end of Skye. The Skye Fruits de Mer is the main event (it will cost £160 per person from March 2025) and no report rates it less than “outstanding”.
