Richard Turner, the chef behind London’s renowned butchers Turner & George, Meatopia, Hawksmoor, Pitt Cue Co. and Blacklock, has launched a takeaway food service called Dickie’s.
The brand will first launch in the Battersea and South London area before opening up across the whole capital with the slogan “Meat. Done. Right.”
An announcement said Dickie’s will support “good farming”, and will partner with small UK producers, using sustainable packaging.
“It’s a true farm to fork approach and is centred around the very best free-range and ethically reared meat, poultry and dairy,” said the team.
“Utilising his network of reputable farms and small, ethical producers, Richard has sourced livestock that have led a life free of cruelty, hormones and antibiotics, farmed extensively, rather than intensively.”
A sample order, bringing an idea of what the menu will bring, is here:

Said the chef: “Dickie’s is me on a plate. My desert island dishes. My last request must-haves. I care about every aspect of this business. We’re sourcing free range and ethically reared meat and poultry via Turner & George and all our veg fresh from New Covent Garden Market.
“We’ve thought about each item of packaging so it can be as biodegradable as possible. And we’re in the business of keeping our staff happy too. Our culture centres around human welfare as well as that of the animals we use and the environment we seek to support. We aim to keep our relationships as healthy as the food is Indulgent. Enjoy.”
