Crowdfunding chef Gary Usher, the man behind the north west’s Elite Bistros group, has made a documentary.
The show charts his journey from his first site, Sticky Walnut in Chester, to Pinion, his opening in Prescot, and the first restaurant to open in the town in 30 years.
The programme, which is set to air in the autumn, will include his money raising exploits, including the campaign that saw him smash his £50,000 target in under an hour.
Usher’s restaurants – Sticky Walnut, Burnt Truffle, Hispi, Wreckfish Pinion, and Kala – have long been a favourite with reporters. The show, we imagine, will go some way to explaining exactly why.
