Terra Terra, an all-day Italian restaurant concept, will launch in Islington this September, as London’s love of pasta continues with aplomb.
Set over two floors, Terra Terra will be multi-faceted. The restaurant will focus on the food of Tuscany, inspired by its markets and classic produce. By day, pasta will chime.
But it will also look a little to the north, to Bologna in particular, and encompass an open bakery, presumably with the breakfast crowd in mind. The space will transition into an “intimate” cocktail space in the evening.
Drinks will be designed by mixologist Walter Pintus, who’s worked at The Mandrake, the Rivoli Bar at The Ritz, and The Conduit. He has also won the Best UK Bartender award. High hopes, then.
Terra Terra is the first site from hospitality management firm the Ghost Group. More are apparently on the way.
Piers Walker, creative director of the group, told The Caterer: “Terra Terra will provide its customers with exceptional quality food and drink at affordable prices.
“Seating 40 diners on each floor creating a lively and buzzing atmosphere but simultaneously diners will experience those sought after relaxing vibes Londoners are seeking.”
