Luca Longobardi and Chris Denney (pictured), co-founders of Notting-Hill’s blisteringly successful and über trendy 108 Garage, launched their second venture – Southam Street – on the former site of Victorian boozer West Thirty Six (RIP).
Southam Street occupies a sprawling building in Golborne Road, on the fringes of Notting Hill, covering three storeys with a Japanese robata grill on the ground floor, private BBQ area in the garden, first floor Raw Bar serving Nikkei (Peruvian and Japanese fusion), and a second floor private member’s bar.
Alongside the Raw Bar on the first floor is a sake and whisky bar, while the second floor bar – called The Parlour – specialises in tequila and mezcal. South Street Parlour has 60 founding members who will have access to a locker for up to three bottles. With a licence until 2 am Thu-Sat, Southam Street also features DJ sets and live music.
