Antipodea, the first restaurant from the Australian-owned Brew Cafe group, will open this month next to Kew Gardens.
The all-day venue promises a “well-travelled” menu, with dishes from the Middle East and Pacific Rim as well as Melbourne, along with a more intimate restaurant area overlooking the kitchen for evening dining.
A retail section will offer Lamingtons baked in-house and “made by Brew, finished by you” dishes including lasagne and lobster risotto, while the group is taking over a farm in the Chilterns to provide fresh produce next year.
Founder Jason Wells opened his first Brew Cafe in 2009, and now has five across southwest London from Wimbledon and Chiswick to Putney and Clapham.
