A new competitively priced fish restaurant in Hammersmith could be the first of several across London if it is well received. Faber is the culmination of an East End lockdown seafood project from Matt Ward and Anthony Pender.
The new restaurant takes its name from Zeus Faber, the Latin for John Dory, and its menu includes a range of dishes costing less than £20, starting with cod cheeks at £5.
Matt and Anthony have both worked in restaurants for many years, and began delivering seafood, fish and cocktails on their bikes during lockdown. The project developed into something more permanent when they converted The Victoria pub in Mile End into a seafood specialist.
